Review by hotel critic
During our family vacation at Avlon House, we found a delightful sanctuary in the heart of Carlow, Ireland. Our twin room with an en-suite shower was thoughtfully equipped, featuring little toiletries and a basket of essentials we might have forgotten-perfect for busy parents traveling with kids. The tea and coffee facilities were a sweet touch, as was the informative booklet outlining surrounding attractions. Breakfast, crafted by Tom, truly stood out. It offered a range of delicious options that catered to everyone's tastes. We particularly enjoyed our meals with ample space to accommodate our family easily. Outside the lodge, the local area offered a serene experience, with scenic walks and the charm of the nearby quayside, perfect for leisurely strolls. The golf course nearby amazed us-it was not only beautiful but unique, boasting an elevator from the 17th hole to the 18th. Tom and Ger's warm hospitality made us feel at home; their understanding of diverse backgrounds was especially noteworthy. Avlon House effortlessly blends comfort with family-oriented amenities, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore this lovely corner of Ireland. We look forward to our next visit.
